As it turns out, my problem was with overheating and my exhaust chamber (3 holes) needed to be cleaned. They were clogged with pieces of my plastic, impeller liner. In hindsight, I didn't need to build the carbs but it taught me a lot about the fuel system. Too much....

If anyone with an LS/LX experiences bogging, take a temperature reading by the thermo sensor and if it is above 190 or so, definitely start by cleaning out the exhaust chamber. Now that my exhaust cooling "veins" are cleared, I read 117 degrees down by the therm sensor. The side that I didn't clear is about 130 as a comparison.

This was great to fix this problem and go through 1/2 the boat.

Glad you located the issue, as for the fuel system, on a 2 stroke it is very important to know the shape of your fuel system from the pulse tubes to the fuel tank return line and everything in between . A bad fuel system can destroy an engine . Now you know it is in good shape and working as intended. One less thing to be concerned about. So that wasn't a waste of time by any means.
That non contact thermometer is a valuable little tool for eliminating the guess work.
