I had my screen replaced but the hours now read 99,999

Anyone know how to reset so it reads off the ecu?

Or get to the hidden menu?

Ok it's missing the boatmodel number. It's 2105 limited s in the hidden menu under cntrl for three seconds.
 
I can check my shop manual and see if it's in there.

Yes that's it but it requires the 4 digit code. I'll have him hook old back up
 
Ok the old screen does not retain the code. It's zeros as well as new
 
3578 worked then scroll thru apply to see your boat current model ltd s
But hours won't update. Still 99,999. Ugh.

Connext sucks, worst thing fitted to my boat, hope you get your issue sorted.

Mine got replaced at 5 hours. Those 5 hours will be lost forever. I am not sure you can reset it. If you can, my dealer certainly did not know how.
 
If it was zero i wouldn't care as much as it reads 99,999 ... they have the new screen i have to drive two hours to try again..
 
Who has had theirs replaced successfully? My dealer tried again with another new unit and cant get the hours to read. If you had yours replaced please give me your dealers name so i can have mine call them.

Mine was replaced by http://www.bertsmegamall.com/ (626)-974-6600 .......... Touchscreen was not working. Took like 2 months to get a new one but, they did it and everything works as it should now.

SO my dealer now states they cannot reset the milage when they replace it...
WTF... so the boat shows 99,999 and they are going to run it to watch it tick over to zero hours.. then return it with zero hours..

The hours should be in the ECU not the screen.

Try calling Yamaha customer relations to see if they have a better answer.......My Connext system was at 20 hours when I had it replaced, never had to deal with the 99,999 issue.... Maybe the dealer is doesn't have the new Yamaha Diagnostic System version 2.0 ? ( Just guessing, I know that system is not cheap. Most shops only have YDS 1.3 )

Your dealer is misinformed. My screen was changed at 10 hours. The new screen restarted from 0.

This is the second time they have tried to fix my connext
