While I was looking at the positions I can mount my chartplotter in I started thinking about the dashboard. Neighbor came over and mentioned he has some nice aluminum that his uncle could fabricate for me. I started looking behind the dash and it looks fairly simple to remove and take everything off. Not sure that would go this route but was just kicking the idea around. Haven't seen a mod like this as of yet.

I would have to either move my rocker switches or get another smaller type of them. Slide my connext to the right and then stack the two tachometers. Problem is, is the tachometers are too big to stack. So I started looking for aftermarket ones and I didn't really find any to use for my boat. The Idea is to move everything to the right a lot and then flush mount a chart plotter right where my two tachs are.

It may be more trouble than it is worth, but has anyone done anything like this? Any suggestions on after market tachs or rocker switches?

Pretty set on a RAM mount and just above and forward of the throttles, but was still curious as to this.

Yes, at least one did a 2007 era with a whole new dash and gauge arrangements and chart plotter
