Hey y’all, looking to buy my first used 2018 Yamaha 242xe. The port engine has 10 more hours than the starboard engine and they guy selling it said he replaced the starters. 190.9 port and 180.2 starboard. Anything to lookout for or ask why why he’d do that?

Thanks for the advice

I wouldn’t worry about the hour difference, it’s perfectly normal. As far as replacing both starters, maybe one went bad and he just decided to do some predictive maintenance and change the second one out before it went bad.

Thanks, appreciate the help!

Also possible that while anchored, he decided to crank one motor to recharge the batteries but did not need to crank both.
