Good afternoon everyone,
As I was winterizing mt SX192 just now, I pulled my pump to grease the driveshaft splines. I noticed that the spline end was very discolored compared to the impeller end of the shaft. As can be seen in the photos, the driveshaft is purple and blue, which I assume is from high heat and friction. Is this normal or do I have a bearing issue? I also noticed an etching on the shaft where it rides on a bearing.

Did the driveshaft come out easily?

how did we miss this from 2018 ??

any resolution?

did you pull your cone bearing to see how it looks?
ever suck up a rope or fishing line?
I'd say you'd probably have to reinstall and try to mark where the plastic housing of the hull ends and where the wear mark is on the shaft,

I don't think I'd worry about it unless I had other indicators,
