I have a 2017 ar240 that both engines stall after the first cold start and then are fine. I have @Mainah push button start but it does it with the buttons or the keys. Today I tested it in my garage at 70 degrees and it did the same thing on a cold start so it’s not outside temps. The port engine stalled a second time then was fine. Any ideas before I talk to the dealer.

Spark plugs are a common issue with the MR-1 engines. I would start there. Also check the air filters for dirt or oil contamination.

To clarify- both engines will start but "stall" and will immediately restart and then remain running.

Is that correct?
Once they do start, and remain running, how well do they idle/run? Is it rough or smooth once started on that second attempt?

They smooth out after a couple seconds. Yes they both start and stall. They idle normal after starting.

no M R 1 engines in a 2017 you have the 1800 engines

First step, Spark Plugs.

How many hours do you have on your engines?

I think there is around 60 hrs and on the original plugs.

It’s just weird that it would be both engines starting this issue at the same time.

I agree. What's the voltage on your batteries?

They start and run fine for about 5 seconds before shutting down.

Brother at 60hrs I would definitely start with the spark plugs.
It does seem weird that both engines are being effected at the same time with a wear item but either way its still something that should be addressed/replaced. Perhaps someone with more experience on engine problems like this will be able to chime in. (knock on wood)

I am with everyone else in that both engines at the same time is wierd. No idea what would cause both at the same time.

Since I only have one chance to test things a day I think I’m going to disconnect the push start first just to rule it out before I start replacing things.

Do the engine's "sputter" out or just die, as if electrically killed. (Ie- faulty switch)

If its cold start only, could fuel be losing prime.
Do you wait till the connext comes up and the tachs finish their sweep?

Yes the keys are always on for a bit before I start it and the connext is up. I went into the system check area but couldn’t see where to check codes.
