Just finishing my first year as a new boat owner. I live in Lexington, KY and the winters are more overcast, cold, and rainy than they are snowy. My dealer said they can service, shrink wrap and store outside for the winter on their lot for $75/month. Looking for thoughts on outdoor storage or finding a in door storage ($140/month). Thanks for the advice and suggestions in advance.

Since my boat is dry for 6 months and we get lots of snow, i always store inside. Instead of looking for mini-storage, look for a winter storage. Up north, there are lots of places with giant barns/sheds that have a flat rate for the winter. Mine is around $50/month, but I don't have any access to it once i drop it off. Sun/weather/wind takes a big toll on your boat and is a big investment, so why not protect it as much as possible?

The indoor storage price is equivalent to what I pay in GA. I am also able to store whatever items I need to securely in addition to the boat. In the summer, with the boat at the slip, I use it to store my jet ski and have more parking at the house.
