If anyone needs to know, the Yamaha Waverunner FX140, Waverunner FXHO and the VX110 fuel pump assembly is plug and play with the SX230 as far as I could tell. I plugged in my 2007 Waverunner FX140 Fuel pump into my 2007 SX230 tank and it powers right up as usual. It has the indentical top side configuration as the sx as well. The only difference is that you need to remove the fuel float assembly on the side of the pump and swap out the one dead end electrical plug on the top of your current unit which is super basic. The boats have their own separate fuel float in the tank so this one comes off of the fxho or fx140 or vx110 waverunner and just re-sell that as spare parts to someone. Full disclosure: my boat is not actually running yet; however, everything in these systems is identical on the waverunners so there is no good reason why this is not an acceptable replacement by just taking a few extra parts off with the quick connection plug-in play connectors. If for any reason I find out that this is not correct I will certainly either update or delete this post but I do not expect to have any problems. I will also try to update with a video clip of the two pumps so you can see that they are identical. Hopefully this will allow some of you to find easy replacement parts on eBay.
