Going to get the Tabs

I installed my a bit farther out than I really could have. I didn't have the Transducer in hand and wasn't sure where I was going to mount it, so I didn't rule out a pure transom mount and wanted to make sure I had clearance.

Also if you mount them to low (IN) it could conflict with Fins, etc.
So no template for installation,
I probably would of moved mine two inches toward the pumps, if I had to do it again.

Although they do say the wider out they are the better they work.

So no template for the install, just guestimate?

From the Manual to Install. It is not hard. You will get nervous till you finish drilling your first hole or two then you are off and running. I drilled the center top hole then screwed in the tab with a slight smaller screw, so I could get it aligned. Then I drilled all the other holes, removed the plate and used a 3/4" countersink, NOT DEEP, to chamfer the edges of each hole slightly to prevent chipping when the screws go in. Then I used 5200 on the plate and screw holes then screwed it down. Finally I took measurements from right side and left side of that tab and then set the other side tab with the same offsets so they are even.

Test fit them to see where the top bracket for the actuator will sit on the underside of the transom. Before drilling the holes.

Not yet. Trolling motor is next, wanted to test out everything up to this point first.

Can I ask how you determined where to install them on the stern? You can’t get that wrong?

Mark west has a detailed write up on the install. I put mine in the same location and I think it’s spot on. Not sure if there’s a difference between our 24s and your 21 but I’m sure someone here does.

Here it is Lectrotab Install - 2019 242SE
