Guys with black windshield trim... does it get hot?

Thinking about painting mine (its silver now but kinda chipped). Worried it will get too hot in the sun. Seems like Yamaha is doing it on a lot of boats which makes me think its not an issue.

So, does it get super hot, or not too bad?

Yep - gets hot! I've rested my arm on a it a few times when hot - OUCH!

You might try and use Plasti Dip, if you don't like it you can always remove it.

My gray/silver gets hot too.

Plastdip is good idea... it would probably be a bit less hot.

I may just leave it silver. I would never hear the end of it if i changed it and the rail got mildly warm even...

My silver gets warm, but not enough to burn you. No worse than the grey in the vinyl seats anyway.
