Has anyone switched to aluminum alloys?

If so, how have they worked for you?

@Glassman and @andyak posted some info on this last year.

According to this aluminum is better than zinc http://www.boatingmag.com/how-to/choosing-right-sacrificial-anode

A-24779 seems to be an aluminum alloy used for anodes.

I am considering buying a bar of this alloy to machine anodes but would like to hear from others who are using aluminum. Thanks

@Geoff Cooper is in need of replacements so he will be interested as well.
