I've decided I'm going to try and add some horsepower to the shower on my 2016 LSE series. It's almost worthless as is...my sink sprayer at home has twice the power. I was thinking about getting a diaphram pump used on many center console sprayers, change out the nozzle, and add a longer hose...maybe even add an intake hose you could drop into the lake to refill the tank. It would be fantastic if I could actually spray down the inside after my kids deposit their usual layer of chip crumbs and Capri-sun juice. Has anyone tried something like this? I would greatly appreciate any pointers.

Sounds like it would be super handy, I’d modify my 212x for one cause I feel ya on the kiddie deposits

Jauga,

The shower on my 2013 Yamaha 242 is absolute garbage as well. It leaks out like a garden hose after its been shut off. I also noticed that when I accidentally left the switch for the pump on it drained my whole tank! Not sure if it is suppose to do that or not. I will go into the system this weekend and figure if i am going to install a high flow pump or to see if there is any kind of low restriction or flow reducing devices somewhere in the lines. Let me know what you end up doing.

I agree that it may not be as functional as it could be. I would bet it will be hard to get any real pressure for a washdown system. Would it be worth looking into what the FSH boats use? Theirs is actually designed for washdown right?

I was doing some searching, and I think I found the perfect upgrade kit for it. I will just leave this photo right here. (discuss)

Did anyone do anything with this? I pee harder than the shower sprays. Would like to see about changing this out. Was thinking just a better/bigger pump
