Hello fellow members,

Could someone tell me the dimensions for the helm door pictured below for the 07-09 sx230? Trying to figure out if they are interchangeable with the previous generation.

Thank you in advance!!:angelic:

Nevermind. Looks like it's taller (would not have been an issue) but considerably smaller width wise.

The head compartment is significantly larger on the second generation 230s.

I would think that you could acquire starboard or another suitable material and build your own pretty easily.

Thanks Bruce! Saw a really great deal on a brand new door which would have saved me considerable time but alas it won't work.

Have been looking into starboard and need to get to the marine store tomorrow to see about hinges and stuff. My 2 year old son came down with something viral and it's ugly so might have to put my plans for this weekend aside and I may just endup getting the yamaha kit.

I hope your son is well soon. I know that feeling of wanting to take the illness away from them.

Is your door missing or can you reuse hardware from it? I believe mine is constructed from 1/4 or 3/8 starboard.

Thank you! And yes that's exactly how I feel... sucks to see him like this but it'll pass..soon I hope!

It's kind of funny actually.. half of it is missing :) the starboard side. So I'll need the hinges that connect the 2 together, the other half of the latch and I think a rubber seal is missing on the port side. If it was middle of summer I am sure I would have taken my sweet time but I think I'd like to have it in place for early spring :winkingthumbsup"
