So when we came home today after boating and during the cleaning process I found this hose was completely off. The fitting circled in the picture came out of the large hose and was just laying down near the bilge.

Part says it’s part of the intake... I got it back on no problem but wondering would would have caused it... any thoughts???

Its your breather hose from the valve cover. Its like an automobile PCV valve system. It wont hurt anything just could get oil residue into the bilge.
Pop it back in, should be fine

Flux capacitor with it out no more time travel.
(He is correct in the post above)
