Help with retrieving boat in crosswind!

have her place one hand at the bottom of the wheel and the direction that her hand goes on the bottom of the wheel is the way the trailer goes. This helps with over correcting. Obviously backing a trailer is counter intuitive , this make the direction intuitive.

I have taught a lot of people using that method!
 
There is not a dock along side the ramp. It’s a little ways away and angled off from the ramp. So that’s not an option

Its a great method, they even train truck drivers this way . lol
When I was 15-16 I did farm work for a truck driver, He is the one that told me that! I thought I was decent at backing up trailers when I started working with him but his little tricks taught me a lot! Definitely used the mirrors much more after listening to him.
