I have a 2021 yamaha 252S, I was having a problem with moving the two back seats forward and backwards. The chrome
levers couldn't pull them down to move the seats. Was going to have the dealer check them out, but before going I sprayed
silicone on the chrome levers and tracks. After a few days it loosened the levers and everything was working fine.
Bottom line spray them every so often with a good silicone, to eliminate a freeze up problem.

thanks for the tip, going to try it this weekend. my seats swivel grudgingly, but i haven't been able to move them back and forth at all
