I replaced the horn on my LS2000 last season. I don't use the horn much/ever but I tried it the other day and the new horn no longer works. I tested that I have power to the horn so it appears the horn is the problem.

The horn has its own pop out fuse on the dashboard and it was not tripped.

What could be the problem with going through a second horn? Could this be an amperage problem and that my fuse is not working? Should I install an inline fuse between the horn and horn switch to see what is happening?

Any other ideas?

I've replaced my OEM horn twice and they all crap out after a small amount of time.

If you checked for voltage at the wires going into the horn and you get a solid 12 to 13 volts DC that proves your horn switch, fuse and wiring are all good. If you are getting no or low voltage that would indicate corrosion if low voltage, broken wire, bad horn switch or bad fuse if no voltage.

You could take your horn out and test it directly to your boat or car battery to eliminate all other componets.
