I have a 2013 AR 242, took it out last week and none of the auxiliary switches (blower, horn, radio etc) work when the start battery is on, but they all worked when I switched to the house battery. I checked both fuse panels located behind the motors and they’re all good. Is there an inline fuse somewhere I’m missing? No issues like this previously

it wouldn't be a fuse issue if you got them working by turning on the House battery switch.....all those items should be wired to the House battery not the start battery. Only thing on the start battery should be the engines. Is there a reason you only had the start battery switched on? typically, you would always have both batteries switched on.

Did your boat come with an owners manual? The operation of the BEP battery switch with DVSR should be explained in the owners manual.

Start and House battery switches on when using the boat. The DVSR will keep the start and house battery isolated when the engines are off, keeping your start battery isolated for starting purposes. When the engines are running the dvsr closes and allows the engines to charge the house battery.. There should also be a emergency paralleling switch that should be left OFF AT ALL TIMES, unless you need a boost to the start battery FROM the house battery.

Again, start and house battery switches on when using the boat, off when not using the boat.

As others stated - this is normal operation for your boat. Turn both red battery switches to ON. Only turn the yellow emergency switch to on if you can't start your boat after running the batteries down at the sandbar.

Well thanks for all the responses. I purchased the boat last year and was told to only use the start battery while starting/running the boat- and the house for sandbar. This is what I did all last year and never had an issue with the blower/auxiliary etc not working on just the start battery. I wasn't aware that both batteries should be on. Ill try that this weekend. unfortunately it didnt come with an owners manual, I did look at the one on yahamas site this weekend but was looking for the fust issue, ill check for operation/battery set up. Just odd it wasnt an issue before.

Here’s where you can find your owners manual online.

I think this is your Boat here.

People who do not understand how the battery switch cluster works give bad information which is worse than no information. The BEP marine battery switch is very simple and a fire and forget system, as I said before turn the start and house battery on at the beginning of the day and turn them off at the end of the day. Your start battery is isolated from house loads, and your house loads are all fed from your house battery.

Here’s an explanation page of how the battery switch and the DVSR works.

When you bought the boat, I wonder if they had it hooked up incorrectly to work that way. In my boat, if both battery switches aren't on, all you'll get is errors and nothing works. Glad you'll have the right procedure going forward!!
