Yes, I have a custom whale japolt. Which I ran with the valve on my sand trap? I believe it is open for more than 1 minute. What do I need to do? What did that do to my engine or jet pump? Do you think please reply if you understand questions i'm sorry

I'm sorry, this is not a reply but that is my. I believe This is my sandtrap

How long did you run it for
2 minutes or 10 minutes??

how long did you run it that way and did it have sand in the container? from what I see this is made to settle any sand that may be in the water going to your engine for cooling and opening the valve blows out the sand so if the valve is left open the amount of water going to the engine is reduced and the engine may overheat . If it did not overheat when you ran it you are probably not in any trouble. looks like that is what it does per the internet "The sand trap keeps sand and sediment out of the entire cooling system, the heat exchanger and the exhaust manifolds by using a centrifugal vortex to separate the sand from the water. This allows the sand to settle in the bottom of the trap where it can be easily seen and moved with the turn of a valve. " So if it did not overheat with the valve open you should be fine! So before you use it again. just be sure to check your oil for any water in it to be safe.

as jeff said above, when you have the valve open you are probably denying cooling water to the system,

is your engine on a closed loop, it has antifreeze or similar that stays in the engine
or
an open loop where it uses lake water to cool the engine ?

some boats have a closed loop, antifreeze for the engine cooling and lake water for the exhaust,

do you have a hose connection so you can run the boat on the trailer ?
if not I think I would take the boat back to the water and idle it at the dock for 15-30 minutes to see if any obvious problems arise,
if no problems I would run it close to dock at higher rpms to see if any problems appear,
