Just learn the reverse move it works most of the time. do not keep running in limp mode you will ruin your engines or melt your exhaust hoses.

I am now wondering what caused the problem, if there is any damage to the boat and if this will be an ongoing problem. Does anyone have any thoughts about this problem?

As an owner myself I’ve experienced this and found it was a sensor issue. Unfortunately, ive found with my jet boat that there is such newest and differentiations to my propeller boat.
