Is anyone using the plastic liners and have you had good luck with them? I just burnt up my first one this season and I am wondering if this is going to be a common occurrence given that they are plastic.

I think operationROL uses them. See if you can message him.

How long have you had the plastic liners? I have been considering them.

@Bruce, I just had the liners for this season and I had a stick plug up one of the impellers real bad causing the plastic to melt (?). I bought replacement liners and I will try again. It is easy to change out but I want to see if others have had better luck with durability

I do use them and mine are not worn. If yours are worn after 1 year I would check your bearings to make sure the impellers are spinning in balance. The good news is that the liners are inexpensive and made so that they wear before the impellers wear when things get stuck in between. Imagine if the liner did not melt when you had that stick caught in between. That would have probably dinged up the impellors or bent them.

Thank you @OperationROL . I am rebuilding the jet pumps while I have them out so everything will be new for the next run. New impeller ducts, new impellers, new plastic liners, and new bearings.

It is good to hear that they work out well for you. I like the concept and they are very easy to replace.

Had them for two years on my LX 2000 without issues. They seem to fit tighter than the metal ones.

They are designed to fit tighter so that when the impeller starts turning, they will etch out the most minimum clearance needed and be exactly the clearance that particular impeller needs.
