Was doing a check on the boat before I take it out this weekend and noticed this area on the pump that looks strange, is something supposed to be here or what is this. Looks like one hole is filled and the other isn’t.

That's where your anode is mounted, or should be. I'm 90% sure there should be one on each side. Is there one on the other side? Those holes look like the bolt and everything fell out, or it never had them. So if there is only one, then then it may have only one per pump.

Usually those are so corroded (for the right reason) and they come out super hard.

This is about the best picture of my '17 AR190 I can find with that location. Looks empty to me.

@biffdotorg Anode is on the port side on mine. I don't think there's anything on the starboard side. I've never added or removed those on mine, so what we see above is the "stock" configuration. I do think they're the same spacing though. Maybe for salt water boaters to add a second?

That's possible. And the only reason I thought there may be two, is the parts fische mentioned 2 anodes and 4 screws. But I know my dual engine has only one per engine on the outside as well.

Same on my twin engine, two anadodes, and one per motor, both located on the port side.

I do have one on the other side where it typically is and that’s fine, just when I looked at the other side saw those holes and thought it was a little strange.

nothing goes in the right side but if you want to add another anode on the right side you could
