It’s Confirmed.....cat’s out of the bag 255XD and 212XD have 12” Connect, DRIVE from 275 AND SVHO engines!!

Did any of the Testing Video's go back up? I would like to see them and a complete walk through.

They just redesigned the GP1800r too. I have a 2019 and I’ll go through $120 of fuel on a weekend. I don’t want two of those motors. I’m curious of what the top speed will be on the non supercharged 1.8s looks like the 255XD is 54 so hopefully it will still hit 50

lol, you have no idea. i have a 16 fzs with the svho. i have done a few mods to it. its a solid 450hp 90mph ski but it will suck 18 gallons of fuel in 45 minutes if your really on it. cruising is not terrible. cruse rpm on that motor is 5500. about 2 weeks ago i put my deposit down on a 275sd. i though for just a minute that i could easily do a few things to that boat and get her to about 75 mph but then my senses kicked in an i am leaving it totally stock to not kill the range. fast is nice but its just not that kind of boat anyway. from an independent test at 5500 rpm the 27 is supposed to draw 17.1 gph which isnt great but its not totally a gas hog either.

So they took away the lounge seats on the AR250? If I want those I have to pay $15k more??? That’s a little messed up.

The 255 FSH video with twin SVHO said burn at cruise was ~11.5 gal/hr. I can't recall the speed though. 34? If so that's almost 3 which is what my 210 gets.

Or maybe it was 14/hr. Starting to second guess my memory. Guess we'll know in a few hours here.

Edit: It's 11.1 @ 25mph = 2.25 MPG

here is a screen shot of the 255 FSH (Boating Magazine test):

I’d like to see the performance of the non supercharged 25ft. Looks like it’s only 6” more then the old one so it’s still not 25ft. Not sure what color of the AR250 I like better either. My AR210 was black and a b**** to keep looking clean.

Looks like some hard ballast in there up to 1600 pounds. Is that going to be enough for a good surf wave?

So some of the 25fters have a 70 gallon tank and some have a 75 gallon tank?

Or of course someone was sloppy inputting specs......

And I agree, if the boat is a 24.6” dont call It a 250/252/255.......

I wish they would have done the AR in the same Grey that they did the SX. I love the grey boats. I'm pretty happy they decided to still have the 1.8L non SC engines in the 250 series. I also love the bigger gas tank.

the FSH 252/255 have 111 gallon tank

I like the flush screen as stated other places more then it sticking out like a tablet on a mount

Concerning the AR250 specifically

things I like:
  • swim deck speakers appear to be standard
  • moved the cell phone bracket to the side - touchscreen now centered
  • flush ports relocated to swim deck
  • stock speakers appear to be moved more mid-cabin
  • engine step-through platform vs. over
  • additional cup holders in the bow
things I don't like:
  • 5" screen in a larger "floating" panel (designed for the 12.3" screen)
  • wake tower not flush with the hull
  • sliding rear seats (something else that can break)

Overall, I think I'd make the jump. The price isn't as high as I thought it might be.

Based on my experiences on a 21' boat, hell to the nope. I mean, surfable sure, but not even close to a cheap tow boat. they should have integrated more ballast into the floor, those hard tanks in the rear and sides really take up a lot of storage!

OK, the 255XD is pretty sweet.... I think I'll wait for some of these features to trickle down into the AR lineup. No plans to trade/sell the boat before the 5 year YES warranty is up.

That dash!

Built in "wake boosters" that can probably double as trim tabs!

I got you

It says top speed for the SVHO is 49mph???? Did they mess something up? The 212 goes 52. How is it with dual supercharged engines (140 more HP) is it slower?

It weights in over 1000 lbs more than 2020 ar240 dry. Who knows if it has a limiter too

The specs online show the new 212's all use the N/A high output motor not the SVHO

I was referring to the video

I plan on doing a Bimini run too...maybe in 2022. Hit me up if you want to go with a group.

I am also planning on going in 2022 and would love to be able to join the group. This will be my first time.
