Ok, trying to think what kind of groceries to pack, does anyone knows what is allowed and not allowed, like fruits, veggies.. ? And should I use regular ice, or dry ice is better? I would really appreciate any suggestions!!

I heard milk is not allowed.

Dunno why.

I wish i had some dry ice. Ice meltd a lot.

I did get a bicycle pump style manual bilge pump to evac the melted water out so as not to have to yank out our non draining soft cooler. It works well.

Have fun.

Well after battling a hail storm here in Michigan while we were getting the boat ready, it's finally all packed. Fresh oil change on the truck, tire pressure is good, and I'm leaving now. Let the adventures begin. Bimini via Florida here we come!

Thanks, so I guess if milk is not allowed, that will include half & half also.... I heard it's $10 per gallon of milk over there :jawdrop:
It's going to cost me a fortune with that many kids lol

We stopped in Mobile for the night. Plan to just outside Cort Lauderdale tomorrow night then launch on Sunday.

@Alex&Elena, @Majorsmackdown in 2014 everyone told us to bring whatever food we wanted but we tried to stick what we believed the rules to be. No one in our flings has ever had any food rejected. Last year @ACrews was talking up his steak and was boarded to see how much he was bringing. They told him the limit was $100 per person per week but did not question what kind of foods he was bringing. I will have milk and fresh fruit on my boat. Worst case scenario I have to go offshore and destroy it.

No ban

I think I packed way too much food.......not enough alcohol

Ok, got it, thank you for giving me an idea, that makes it much easier!

Ok, I think we can live without bananas for a week lol
But we will sure need lots of food too, seriously those pre-teens hungry like 24/7 lol

Booo thats some major shit. We are coming from Tampa so i know now to take mine off before we hit the road
In its "defense" it was an old cover that I planned to throw away after this trip as I have a new one in a box at home.
I guess it was its last revenge since it knew my plans for it hahaha
Still a little surprised how it just self destructed haha.
I'd suggest leaving your cover on !

Bananas are a fishermans superstition.

It is best to assume that groceries will not be available in Bimini. The only sure food over there is what you bring and in the restaurants.

@Bruce was right. They looked at all what we had & never questioned the "what" we brought. Their main concern was "how much".
Ok, that's even better, I will keep receipt for all of the groceries. Thanks!

Eggs were readily available I roomed with 2 beefy men who ate about a dozen eggs a day last year But other then that.....I would bring my own

Surprisingly eggs travel well. I bet if everyone was buying them they would sell out quickly.

I wouldn't let anything like rules keep me from having milk. :)

I think we are bringing bananas too.

I'd just take it. And some 1/2 n 1/2. Shhh. Don't tell anyone.

You could also do powdered milk. My kids hate it. I kinda like it.

Midway somewhere in North Carolina after a long nail biting day of trailer repair (2 calipers and one brake rotor and tire replaced). Myself and @jayasaki138 racing towards the finish line :D
