Guys, I created a short video with footage from 2014 to 2016 crossings so you can see what the conditions might be like. My family did not return with the group in 2015. I understand the group had a slightly rough return that year. After extending our stay by six days we picked a calm day to return and had flat seas.
If you listen to the audio and look around our boat you will see that our comfort levels and positioning of cargo in the boat changed greately after 2015.
Please remember that our boat has trim tabs lessening the bow rise and the slap afterward compared to other boats in the group.
I updated the video to include a short clip from our 2015 return crossing and 2016's arrival in Bimini.
I'm going to reply to this thread because its relevant...
I went to Bimini on a cruise and I was well prepared. wore my 2017Jetboaters Bimini Shirt and retraced our steps (though only on north island)
We left our mark at the Stuarts Conch Shack IN 2017
was pleased to see that sticker was still there, although partially hidden by a speaker
Me at the Bimini cruise port
after returning from 2017 trip, we sent few plates to be added to the dolphin house....we did not know if this was going to happen but Sir Ashley Saunders put all of them on the house!
The alabama manufacturer's plate was sent back in 2017 and I brought the SC plate on this trip. He immediately put it on the wall
