@robert843 has a good point, anyone who wanted the inReach just for this trip could likely sell it on their return and break even if not make a little.

sold !

sorry @robert843 !
I know I said i'll buy yours after the Exumas trip but...
I wouldn't mind having one for my crossing, and you just can't beat that price...
:winkingthumbsup"

@tim h at that price I would not by my used one either lol. You are all good! I will post my Delorme Se and my Satellite Phone on here as a package deal for $200 total after the trip to see if I get any interest if not I will roll them to ebay and I'm sure they will sell there.

Great find, that has Prime shipping and no tax.

I might be wrong but I think taxes would apply. Still same price overall however. Overtons has the floating case for $15 and amazon is close as well. I think it would be worth cost.

I have the floating case and feel it is well worth the cost.

I was surprised you said that REI charged you tax. I guess both Amazon and REI charge sales tax in Georgia. Neither do in Arkansas. So the best deal for individuals may be the seller that does not charge tax in their state.

Recently I learned that Doyle who was the tall dock master at Bimini Sands has opened a small grocery store beside Booze & Screws. Doyle also offers golf cart rental which would be very helpful for those staying on the North side of Bimini Sands that want to visit the infinity pool.

Anyone know where this wreck at the 5:02 mark in this video is?

My guess is it the Hesperus/Turtle Wreck which is north and east of Bimini, blue circle #4. That is one spot I have not been to but I think @Bruce has been there.

Here are the GPS coordinates
Waypoint: HESPER Latitude Longitude
Degrees 25.8045166666667 -79.11225
Degrees/Minutes N 25 48.271 W 79 6.735
Degrees/Minutes/Seconds N 25 48 16.260 W 79 6 44.100

We went to The Hesperus last year. It was covered up in schools of barracuda and a few sharks. I would guess there were 50 or more barracuda. So I believe this is a different wreck.

Maybe going in May instead of July the sharks and barracuda are somewhere else. The Hesperus was a barge carrying cement that sank in shallow water and the video looks like a barge in shallow water, that is the only shallow water barge that I know of around Bimini. I might have to go check it out this year to see if we can snorkel it, assuming the sharks and barracuda let us.

So I went to the beach this morning just to check it out with the tropical depression just off the coast. Then I run across these guys out fishing in a 18-20ft G3 aluminum boat. This is with 20 knot winds and 3-5 ft seas. They where only going about 5 knots speed wise but man it sure didn't look like a lot of fun.

Yeah... but if they caught fish....win!

20 more days!!!!

Just curious if everyone is staying full term? I maybe interested in returning a day earlier then the rest of the group of course weather permitting. Just curious if anyone else was thinking about something like that or if everyone pretty much intended to stay the whole time.

For those going I'm mailing the Bimini stickers for this years trip to @MrMoose since I will miss the captains meetings if you want one be sure to hit him up during the day of the captains meetings.
