Got it! Thanks again....I just got a gallon of it in today and plan to clean her up and spray her down next Sunday.@Joseph Baxter Its easy...EVERYTHING! Top to bottom, connectors, exhaust, intake manifolds, batteries. Then get a rag, and wipe the excess from the engine cover and other plastics. Then go to the back, and spray down the jet pump. That's why I buy it in gallons.
Just cover the air filter with a bag. Heck man. Sometimes I even run simple green through the flush. It smells nice, lol.
I think the ratcheting strap on the bow replaces the safety chain.@treeskier Scarab trailers did not come with the bow eye safety chain. All you have is the winch strap that holds the bow eye, the ratchet strap that holds the bow to the trailer and two ratchet straps that hold the transom to the trailer. It would be easy enough to install one.
How much did you pay please?I got trailer tow roadside through my Geico policy which is through sea worthy insurance
Absolutely. Aftermarket bow safety chain, cable, or strap is cheap and easy to install. If the bow winch mechanism or bow winch strap fails or, God forbid, you have to make a hard panic stop, it is another line of defense against having the bow of your boat, or more, in the back of your truck.I thought this question would fit this thread. When trailoring your boat is there any sort of safety chain or cable that you use to attache the boat bow to the trailor beyond the winch and strap? For example, if your winch let go something still holds the bow down?
My whole policy was $288/yr including roadside / on water. 100/300k liability 2k trailer value, 25k stated value for boat. 1000 personal property.
