I purchased a Simrad GO7 with totalscan transducer and I want to mount it to the ride plate but there is no flat spot. I’m thinking I need to make an angle bracket or use a spacer of some kind.

Thanks but I’ve searched for quite a while and didn’t find anything with a similar model to mine. The newer models like the thread you referenced have a flat spot on the ride plate.

Oh sorry, didn't notice the year. In that case, if you're in freshwater can you use a softer metal like aluminum to make a bracket?
