MR1 ECU or injector or something else?

Can you explain how oil on the air filter relates to ECU driver failing for an injector? I admit I got lost there

I don't think they are related but can cause similar symptoms. You can't overfill these engines. If you do run with a bad ECU long enough you'll get excess gas in the oil and it will ruin the air filters.
 
Right, new air filter to go with your new or replaced ECU if it soils. That I grasp. Thanks!
