In all honesty, I wanted to. More like an itch I wanted to scratch. After talking to my wife and kids, and after taking our 2010 out the last couple of times, I (we) realized that Yamaha is still the best fit for our family right now.

Did you change the deck material already? Mine came with something different.
Yes. Ordered the Sea Dek from @JetBoatPilot during the group buy.

Added black Yamaha swivel wake racks on both sides.

@Neutron.... That would be great at some point!

So because we anchor stern first on most occasions, I have to have a stern anchor obviously. In the last boat, we stored it under the port seat. It worked fine but hoped with the new boat, I'd be able to utilize one of the wet storage compartments on the swim platform. Picked up another Fortress FX-7 and Anchor Suit bag to protect the inside of the compartment. Works like a charm. IMG_20191004_164738.jpgIMG_20191004_164820.jpg

Nice, I use a large Slide Anchor for the stern.
Now as with my boat you really need to always keep in mind your AK. Its the lowest point and can break easily

@Neutron.... I used a slide anchor for about a season. It would hold fine until the tide would come in. Once it got water around it, it would no longer hold. I knew going into this boat I would have to be a little more vigilant having the AK back there while anchoring stern first. I've only taken the boat out once, but I found myself checking it often.

Box anchors work very well. Was skeptical until I tried. It’s AMAZING. No sliding or drifting whatsoever.

@ZGhost...... Never had my fortress anchor move the least little bit. Only weighs 4 lbs, fits in stock location and doesn't have to be unfolded. Not to say box anchors are not nice..... But no need for me to try them personally.

All good points. I need a second anchor for the stern to keep the boat from rotating, maybe I should look into the Fortress as an option for the bow and use the box anchor for the stern. Mmmmmmh 🤔

So the audio equipment has been ordered and the plan is about 95% set. The boat will have the following:

(1) Wet sounds SD6 amp
(2) Wet sounds SD2 amps
(4) Wet sounds REV 10's
(8) Wet sounds Revo 6 coaxials
(2) Wet sounds Revo 10 subs

I plan to remove all 6 of the OEM Wet sounds 6.5" speakers. They are their "Recon" series and although I'm sure they are decent, I don't think they'll have the power handling capability for the SD6 amp so switching them out for the Revo series as well as adding a pair mid cabin. The OEM subwoofer is a Revo series, so I'll keep that and add another one most likely on the starboard side somewhat in the same location as the factory one on the port. They will be run off of the first SD2 amp. I am a little concerned with not having enough bass this time around, but I did keep my XXXV2 from the last boat just in case 😁. Tower will have 4 REV 10's with swivel clamps running off of the other SD2 like the last boat. I'll be running 3 batteries (one start and two house) on a two bank charger. This set up worked well for me before so I'll stick with it.
The garage is already stacking up. All my power wire is in, RCA's are in, New Fusion plug for the stern head unit, and a big sheet of King Starboard.
