My $500 Aquatrax F12X project

While yet in there you should get a better inter cooler. I have a Max Boost intercooler and never get heat soak. The stock one is not even close to good enough and will soak in a hot day pretty quick

That's not a lot of room to work... looks tight in there. Looking forward to how well it runs!!!

Its back up and running. Still a little rough. One of the side effects of the leaky manifold is water in the oil. I'm on my 3rd oil change and it's looking better but gotta couple more. Going to get some fresh gas in it and some sea foam and change the plugs. Have to wait for the plugs to come in.

I was looking for that today and didn’t see it.

Water boils eventually if it's only a little and not being replenished... It probably needs some "ride it like you stole it" treatment, to restore full health.

I will try to get near mine by the end of the day Monday and get a pic for you

I know about the rear oil port. I'm sucking the bad oil from it and the oil cooler

Love the location of the oil filter.

Buck, yeah the jet ski enthusiasts hated on those Honda's but I have really enjoyed mine.
Seth post a pic of that rear oil access if you're near your ski

It's right under the turbo intake tube. A little easier to see on mine with the grab handle removed.

Be CAREFUL not to drop that cap, Very careful. What I did on my was drill a small hole in the tab and tied some braided fishing line on it to secure it if I dropped it.

I spot these types of project from time to time but my wife (rightfully so) says i have no time for another project. So many ideas so little time.

That’s ski is looking better and better! Hopefully when you get it out on the water it will give you no trouble. Will you recover the seats eventually?

Where did you get those traction mats?

Love the location of the oil filter.

Very Honda-like. Their products may not be super exciting, but they sure know engines.
