My new boat is in! Moomba Max

Yes. Paradise point is great with the new restaurant. Our place is about 5 minutes up river from there. Let me know when you're going to be there this summer. I'm happy to share what I know about the lake, and I'd love to see the boat.

Will do and we will have to meet up sometime :winkingthumbsup". Are there hazard areas you for sure would avoid that are near the channel? I figured if we go to Lay I’d probably launch from Paradise Point most times and then head southward on the lake. Any areas I should definitely avoid along the way? This is why I like Mitchell so I don’t have to worry with the sticks up and shallows lol.

Generally, if you stay between the channel markers, you're good. There are a couple of spots getting into sloughs and such that are iffy. I'll see if I can come up with a basic map for you. I'll give you a little tip. This is a SECRET. If you're looking for clean water for surfing, and minimal traffic. Come out of paradise point and go left, up river. Don't tell anyone else, because we like it this way, but EVERYONE goes right, so there's nobody up river. Once you get towards the steam plant, there's a long section with minimal housing/docks. You can roll that monster wave wherever you want with no worries. But that's a SECRET! ;) If you're looking for people, parties, and boats to tie up with, then down river is the direction to travel.

Awesome would love a quickie map of the good spots to go and hazard areas to avoid. Nothing super impressive and a napkin sketch would suffice lol.

Thanks for the heads up in the secret spots ;)! I launched at Beeswax when we did a demo last year but we turned right when we got into the channel like we were headed towards paradise point. Never have been on the northern side up by the plant. Your secret is safe with me! :D

We will have to meet up sometime. I’m not sure what all plans the local Alabama jetboaters have this year since traffic has been slower than previous years. Hopefully one of them will plan a decent gathering this year and we can all meet up. Really want to get this thing out on Martin or Smith soon for that clear water action. Do you ever go up to Guntersville? I’ve never been and wondered how the water and land looks.

Opened a swag box from the dealer. Got a plush feeling thick towel and a stainless steel coffee mug which nobody can ever have enough of :winkingthumbsup"

Yes got a floaty Moomba key chain lol. Wished it were bright blue though :D but red is easier to spot.

Definitely sounds like they are treating you right! Hope the service side of the house holds up as well as the sales has, when you need them. :)

Can’t wait to see the videos this summer!

Just saw the video of the maiden voyage. What an awesome boat. Congratulations @haknslash!

@BigAbe75 that’s the type of service you get when buying $100k boats. @haknslash is high roller status now.

Beautiful boat @haknslash ! I love the blue with no stickers. She looks like a beast of a boat. What does she weigh in all on the trailer? Glad your truck can handle it at almost 200k on the clock. Congrats!

Moomba site says boat and trailer are 5700 lbs but I believe that is dry weight. I have a 65 gallon fuel tank and I figure with gear and such it will be around 6300+ lbs. Dealer filled my fuel tank to the top for free! That was a nice $160 they threw in lol. I think the Yamaha dealer in Wedowee gave me my AR192 practically on fumes lol.

Thanks for the compliments and comments everyone! Wished the freaking weather was going to be nice this weekend grrrrrrr!!

I noticed yesterday on our maiden voyage that my upper glove box access had a different and nicer looking chrome lift handle. It seems Skiers Choice has made a slight design revision halfway through the 2019 production builds. My dealer had two 2019 Max’s they ordered earlier in the year and those boats both had the same flat plastic handle to open the upper glove box. It wasn’t ugly but it was just a basic pull handle and did not lock or anything. Fast forward to my 2019 and the handle has been replaced by a nice chrome D-ring style pull handle. I know mine doesn’t lock but I wonder if it latches? I don’t know but I will have to check it out next time I’m inside the boat. Here’s some comparisons to an early build 2019 Max glove box and then mine which I guess would be considered a 2019 half into it’s MY before the 2020 stuff gets really going. When I noticed it my salesman said nuts For even noticing this change :D

Here's some uncut raw footage testing the surf system. No music so you can hear what the boat sounds like.

Love it! My buddy has a Supra SE with the raptor 450 it’s sounds amazing when you hammer down on it then it quietens down once you reach speed. Are you going to get a fresh air exhaust? I would be torn because it quietens that awesome V8 sound. Rider safety is important though.

I may get an FAE if it's too loud while behind the boat. It's pricey though lol. I tried to option it on my build but it was already locked in. Yea the boat sounds amazing when you get on it. I love that I can actually have a conversation inside the boat without yelling while cruising or surfing.

I love the FAE I installed on my MB. Well worth the cost and effort. Your wave looks good! Loooong.

Weather still off and on today so no boating :( but I managed to swing by my parents and at least get some of the paperwork out of the boat and check to see how the cover did with heavy rains. I had some water make it in, mainly in the bow, so I adjusted the anti-pooling pole and hang tyte ratchet to create a taper peak to see if that will help. I really need to get that metal carport going and that will be our next project to tackle before spending money on boat mods. Anyways snagged a some pics doing some driveway boating. My father practically disappears inside the boat in some of the pics :D

I’ve never bought such an expensive coffe cup before...did get a free hat once from the lumber yard though. Only had to order 3.5k sq ft of pre finished hardwood.

Oh and here's a hilarious still taken from video. Rollers for daysssssss back there o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:D. Hell some of them are curling way over and probably 2-3 ft tall lol. I can see how this thing might attract a bunch of PWC idiots.
