Feel for ya. Yeah, with that last pic, that is a tough one to get out. I think you are going to need an assist pulling out the pump, even (something safe, like a truck spinning its wheels while someone else is below hitting with a sledge with another guy with a crowbar prying away from the hull...).

At least you are standing up for it and not pushing it off on someone else. I agree that it is likely many events chopped up the impeller. But you get integrity points for stepping up on the fix.
