Long time listener, first time caller here. I always wanted a boat and finally pulled the trigger. I went with a 2017 AR240. It’s new but wanted to save a couple bucks so I went with last years model. I really loved th E-series but figured it was my first boat so I can always upgrade in the future, lol. I live in Niceville, Florida (just outside of Destin). The weather has been okay but the water is still a little cold for me. Loving all the threads with a ton of info. This website is what really pushed me towards the Yamaha and I’ve been happy (mostly) overall. I had some serious shenanigans with the dealership but thankfully that’s all behind me. Already saving up for the obvious mods (fins, Seadek, stereo, cover, etc). Hopefully I’ll have some pics for you soon. Hope to see you guys on the water sometime!8E97BC29-D34A-4F24-BC62-165C9BE986C4.jpeg

Sweet boat. Jealous of your location...you will have a lot of fun out there.

Hey that's my boat..... minus the mods. Welcome to the group.

You're going to love it! Congrats!

Welcome to the group, beautiful boat.

Oh man those are so beautiful!

Congrats!

How do you like that boat out in the Destin area? I am thinking of getting one too and I'll be using it along the coast anywhere from New Orleans to Panama City.

How well do you feel it handles the chop that you typically get out in the Destin area?

I'm thinking a 24ft is a must for this purpose.... especially if I decide to make the Bimini trip. :-)
