Hey guys and gals,

Here's some new test footage from today's second test session. We would like to draw attention to the cleanliness of the jet wash directly behind the boat at surf speed. Our XV, XL and original systems created a small amount of spray in the surf zone when running 11 mph. When we launched Thrust Vector Wake we were able to eliminate that spray but the process to install and calibrate was time consuming and technical.

This brand new version is simple to install, requires no calibration/adjustment steps and best of all, costs about the same as our Thrust Vector X systems.

Will, are you planning a video showing performance with the wakebooster or a video w/ and w/o the thrusters for comparison?
I don't have a wake booster to compare our JetWash Deflector to. The new Thrust Vector does not enhance the surf wave. It simply provides low speed steering and removes the down pressure previous systems applied to the top of the jet thrust. Basically the new Thrust Vector, while in operation at high speeds does not touch the top of the jet thrust so the jet thrust is just like stock configuration.

I think it should be mentioned that previous versions of our Thrust Vector system, X, XV, XL and Wake pressed down against the top of the jet thrust exiting the nozzle. And while I understand that it could be conceived that those systems somehow caused additional spray that was detrimental to wake boarders and tubers, our data shows that the removal of the Thrust Vectors had no impact on the spray experienced by by tubers and wakeboarders.

But, in an effort to make certain that no one could make that claim in the future, we decided on this new method of actuation which does not rely on the jet thrust for lift. And to be honest, there are other benefits as well. We believe the new system is the best we've ever created and that it accomplishes all of the tasks that each version of our previous systems did, with no negatives.

We do plan to shoot video comparing the low speed steering improvement with the new system. We have also already added a video that shows testing on our single engine test boat. This test shows how the spray coming out of the nozzle is cleaned up a bit by the Thrust Vector. That video is already on our YouTube channel.

Sorry for the long post. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the response Will. I was asking about the comparison more for context of how the new TV would reduce any spray that was claimed when surfing with the booster using the TV X setup. We have the X and when using the booster get intermediate spray into our face and would be interested in the new system if it reduces that spray when also using the booster. If not, we're very happy with the X system, again, we've only got the booster after we installed the X so we don't know if it does or does not create that little bit of spray we get.

@JetBoatPilot for those of use with the previous TV (non wake), how do we take advantage of the trade in that you had mentioned before? My set is still uninstalled in a box (because I was worried about the epoxy)

If you bought and never installed we can take back the kit and upgrade you to the new system. You'd need to pay return shipping of course. Call us at 850-867-1410 and speak to Kim.

Sorry to post on an older thread...
What does the Thrust Vector do for a newer boat with the integrated Keel?
What is the actual improvement?

lots. the keel does very little actually. It will give you great control. I honestly think the keel does zero! Ha. There are good youtube videos showing the improvement on steering with the TVs.

would you do the side thrusters first or these or both?

@JetBoatPilot I'm certain I'm asking questions that have been answered somewhere on this forum...but I have yet to find the answer. So those of us who have the TV Wake installed are there huge advantages to the new system? I know mine is still a bear to steer at speed even though I'm using the V1 depth gauge. Is there a trade in or retrofit kit? I'm all for ease of use. Thanks!

The new fins are much lighter to steer due to the fact that we're not pressing them up hard against a system of stops. The spray is also reduced significantly, much like the Wake, maybe even better than the wake. Plus you get the new Kickstand with the new Thrust Vector, if that's a plus for you.

After a new boat purchase, taxes and title extra money for new items are going to be tight right away.
If I could only do the Thrust Vectors or Lateral Vectors what should I do first?

Thrust vectors if can only do one now... unless you spend more time reversing into tight areas. I have both and its a great setup together.

hard one. I say drive it around first. See what is most lacking for you. For me, I hated reverse and had a hard time putting my stern where I wanted it. So I installed the LT first. Made a huge difference. I don't have a big issue driving straight, but still got the TV so that when others drive the boat it is easier for them.

I'm coming from a bit larger stern drive boat and I could put that wherever I wanted. I'm sure over time I could get used to it as is, but I pull into a lot of small spaces, marinas, restaurant slips that more often than not have wind and current conditions. I would rather just have the confidence right away that it will reverse as I want it to. Also, I have a Supercharged Jet Ski that idles at 6mph so I am used to low speed handling issues.

We do have an upgrade program. If you return your old fins we give you half off a new system. Should save you about $225 on a twin. You'll have to pay shipping both ways but its a fair trade considering the value of the old system on the internet is about $200.
