When we sea trialed my 17’ 195 open at first there was no power at the ignition. Turn key and nothing, as if the battery was dead. Tried brokers jump box and then mine, nothing. Goofed around with it for a bit, then turned on blower and it started. They told me that the blower needs to be on in order to start it (which is not true). Ran great at sea trial and then I ran it a few times in the driveway winterizing and what not, all good.
Fast forward 3 months to last week and again, turn the key and nothing from the engine and to add to it there was a reverse module error on the screen. Mechanic was already there as he came to inspect my supercharger. He chased through my ignition and nothing. He determined that the reverse error was likely due to no power to the engine. I then got on this site and saw that someone else had the reverse module error and ended up taking it to a dealer who replaced a relay and that solved it.
So my mechanic went to the relays. There are two 30a large black relays plugged in to the fuse box back by the battery switch. He did some meter testing back there, then swapped them, and viola, fired right up with no reverse error. He then replaced both relays as they are only around $20 each and all good now.
Wanted to post this experience.
