Boat ran fine Friday. Cruised around 25-30 Mph.
Today port engine won't go above 2500 rpm. It makes a weird noise , vibrates and won't go forward or reverse. Pulled plug , nothing in there.
Noticed water above the plug . other plug had no water above. No error codes.
Could the plug be bad?
Seems OK on no wake mode 5 mph.

No check engine lights? Water on top of plugs is normal. I always have water on top at the end of the day. Vibration makes me think something is stuck in your impeller although you said you pulled the plug and didn’t feel anything around the impeller. I’d pull the boat out of the water for further inspection of the impeller and reverse gate.

Boat on lift . what should I look for?
I can use boarding ladder to get down and look.
Also while flushing engine no noise no vibration when I goosed the rpm up.

Look through the intake grates if you can get under it and see if you can see anything against the impeller. Run it on the hose again and move the throttle into forward and reverse to make sure the bucket moves. If all of it looks okay i would take it for a spin again.

the clean out plug is not going to affect the rpms like that.

Manual states could be bad spark plug?
Going now to double check intakes and gates.
Then test run. If still bad will check spark plugs.

Stumbling and vibration: sounds like something's jammed in the impeller - I would inspect from below if possible. Better yet, get the boat on a trailer and pull the pump.

Intake clear. Gates OK. Rough start on port engine. Blah blah broom. Other engine starts no hesitation.

Tried trick somebody else posted. Go reverse on good engine shut off troubled then push throttle forward. Nothing.

Now port engine engine struggled to start. Checking soarkg plugs
