In trying to find a 3 pin connector to plug into the Yamaha DIAG (YDS) connector, I found this info Yamaha 3 Pin Connector. From there I search Sumitomo 6189-0131 on the internet found a few sources, including Amazon (but didn't like there delivery). I went with Connector ID.

I would be interested in seeing how your whole process works out. New to the jet boat thing but have a lot of DIY/hack car experience.

One of the wires in the YDS is "Engine On" which I need to modify the BEP VSR. It has an optional ignition on to work for BEP VSR battery monitor. This will keep the VSR off unless the port ignition switch is on.

Haven't recieved the plug yet. Went with ConnectID first. Recieved the parts quickly, but no pins? Ordered Amazon source. Still waiting for the parts.

Thanks for explaining a little bit.

So you are modifying the BEP VSR panel to stay off UNLESS the port ignition is ON ... I am guessing the goal is to help with battery drain?
