Wanted to share my oil analysis report from Blackstone. This sample was taken at 101 hours with ~51 hours on the oil, using Yamalube 10W/40 and a Yamaha filter. Less then desirable results for an engine with 100 hours, I'm not an oil expert by any means but I didn't expect to see that much metal.

Not looking to start an oil debate but this year I switched to Amsoil Marine with an Amsoil filter. Figured it can't hurt to try the nicer oil for about the same price as Yamalube.

Do you happen to have a part number for that amsoil filter? Would like to switch as well.

Do you have a new boat or engine, or is this report on a 2014 with ~100 hrs.?

Amsoil part# EAOM134 (it will come up as a motorcycle filter)

Boat is a 2014, I purchased it last year, had 50 hours when I got it. Not sure why it says 2019. Boat currently has 101 hours

I also plan on using Amsoil. Great results in my truck with it.

Just got the oil report back for this year, running Amsoil marine 10W-40 with Amsoil filter. Oil was a little on the thin side but no fuel so thats good.
