So I have 2 issues that may be related with my 2008 SX210. I was losing oil from a leak in the engine somewhere and finally found the problem. The oil was coming out of the Air Filter, clamped the hose coming from the Oil Seperator and that was it so I need a new Seperator. Now intermittently the engine would not start, I could hear it clicking while turning the key and after several turns of the key it would eventually start right up. Would the ignition coil dampener which is attached to the Oil Seperator have anything to do with that? I’ve checked/changed all my kill switches so I don’t think that is the problem. Help me out guys.

Sounds like your oil is over filled. To properly check it the engine should be good & warmed up after running for a bit, shut it down and then check for proper level.

have you checked your air filter, when the oil gets overfilled the air filter will get fouled and cause issues,

.

@Bryan Halsey From overfilling, oil gets pumped up the breather hose via the oil separator into the airbox. If the crankcase gets pressurized by the filter below the throttle bodies being saturated with oil (not breathing), the valve cover gasket can get pushed out.
