I think its time to get more current on my 2013 212. Whats the difference between the 212 Limited and the Limited S. I dont really do much that would make me want/need a tower.

The tower is the difference.

Yep the tower. The 212 limited is basically a rebranding of the 212ss, and the limited S is the towered version.

Since you've had your boat, they added some more bells in whistles to the 212x and slapped a nice big price tag on it. Rebranded the 212SS into two models the Limited and the Limited S. The only difference is color schemes and a tower.

We have a 212 LS. We went in initially looking at a 212 Limited (no tower) and they only had the LS. I didn't think we needed the tower but after having it I am really happy we got the LS. I like how the bimini top is around the tower when not in use, I like the bimini attaching to the tower when in use. I also didn't think we would use the tower and I can tell you so far we have a wakeboard, a wake surfboard and I am picking up a wakeskate. In addition, it's another place to hold onto, hang wet clothes or towels and I have also read on here where people have attached a hammock to the tower (plan to try this summer). Most of this I had no idea until we had the LS and now we love it.

Hope this helps and good luck with the decision.

whats it like to lower the tower, does it take 5 people and a engineer

So whats the big difference between my 2013 and 2019 besides the tower. I need something compelling to drop $50K

Connext integration, better reverse bucket, newer style cleanout plugs, seadek instead of marine mat on swim platform, and I think a more stylish interior. Nothing game changing unless you are just itching for a new boat.

Isn't there a noise difference (as in less of it) with the newer boats too?

The new ones are heavier and slower.

there is usually color differences too..... I wanted a tower in 2017, but I wanted the blue that only came on limited, so I had to buy a black Ltd S... I mean its a little thing, but they don't come in the same colors all years.

2 things I know are Quiet Cruise Tech, much quieter and articulating keel.

I think quiet cruise (better sound dampening) and the articulating rudder were introduced in the 2015 or 2016 models. Can't remember exact year but it was around then. Not sure if they made any improvements to the sound deadening since then.
