Panama City Beach (Shell island)

I was going to get my boat out of winter storage and put it at Lighthouse marina for the season but I just found out I will be going overseas for 5-6 months in May. So, I wont be boating much this summer. Some other good restaurants on the beach, Dat Cajun Place and Patches Pub. @Bennie let me know where you are going to be and I may come meet you for a beer. Has to be on the beach I don't go over "the bridge" :nailbiting: (Just joking that's a standing joke around here). Maybe we can get @ruztew to come too. Those restaurants are not accessible by boat but still great food.
Regardless have fun.[flag][flag][flag]

thank you @Coheeba - All the times I've been over to PCB and I never heard about either of those places.
Looks like I'll be getting some crawfish this trip!

And brother I've been on the other side of the bridge... it's nasty over there!!
But.....Just The Cook and Krispy Kreme are on the "other side".. you gotta go! Lol

Don’t forget Uncle Ernie’s for boat accesssble restaurants!

Yup gotta go by Uncle Ernie's if you haven't already. Crab cake meal is really good!

Big, long dock with plenty of space and you can walk right up to the restaurant....

Great views from the patio dining area overlooking the bay and the dock. It's also right next to a small launch so you can sometimes get some people boat launch watching entertainment, especially if its windy :D

Ha... you must mean me. That's where we put in at.
It's rather clean water (no debris) and right next to Just The Cook. :winkingthumbsup"

:D last year I saw a guy come in there in a huge center console but it was really windy that day and his crew deck mates seemed like it was their first day on the job trying to fetch the trailer. They had to retry several times because they kept getting crossed up and the captain was yelling at the top of his lungs at his crew for messing him up. The poor guy that got the truck down to the ramp was super fast and efficient but he also was getting pissed at the crew. After about the 5th try they finally got it loaded up and the guy in the truck just floored it outta there :D. It was good entertainment and we always stroll along the marina checking out the boats to walk off the big meal. Good times and can't wait to get down there in the summer. Actually we may end up doing Destin this year to break it up from the norm.

Hey guys.... guess what's for supper!?!

Gotta love those free beers!
(It'll be a early night for the kiddo)

@Coheeba - bud I wish.

Unfortunately when I started to attach the boat to the truck yesterday complications began to arise. After a few setbacks I just decided to not mess with Murphy and let the sleeping dog lay.
(Good thing too, the winds on the highway were insane on the drive over here)

So now I'm in PCB.... boatless.

I’m going over to the island on Sunday, I have to run all the fuel out so I can put it back to sleep while I’m gone. [flag][flag][flag][flag]

@Coheeba are y'all still headed out today?

Stop by and grab a beer from the end of the pier.

Sorry, just saw your post. We would have stopped by we rode all over the bay and stopped at Shell Island and then went in the Gulf for a spin. Great day. If you look close you can see my Jetboarters.net flags.Shell Island 2018.jpg

@Bennie Do you have a place at Waterhaven? My wife and I have been looking at places and that is one we were thinking of.

I am heading down to PCB 06/15-06/23. You guys have any recommendations on rental boats? We would like to visit Shell Island one day, but do not feel like taking our boat down and dealing with it for the week.

I don't have any experience but Panama City Boat Rentals and Lagoon Pontoons are the most convenient to Shell Island. How many are you bringing. I cant make any promises but if I am going to the island that weekend you could come with me and the wife. I keep my boat at Lighthouse marina.

@MattFX4 When we would go without the boat we usually rented a pontoon from Lagoon Pontoons on the map above. Nice people and the prices were fair. Pontoon was in good condition, much better than the ones I've rented in Gulf Shores, so PCB company seems to take good care and maintenance of them. They have a pretty decent fleet of them but you'll want to call and reserve your time as they can fill up quickly during the summer. They will allow you to go everywhere in the bay but can't go out in the gulf. Along the jetties is fine too and there is a nice pocket cove to anchor in at the Shell Island jetties if you want to get ice cream off the ice cream boat.
