Good meeting you today @Rod5 . That's a sharp boat you got! If you look close you can see his boat in the far right at the sandbar.

It was great meeting you too @Hacknslash

I forgot to mention we saw the ice cream boat yesterday. He had one heck of a line of customers as he pulled into the cove. Business is good for that man!

@Rod5 when we left the sandbar yesterday we were just going to pick up my brother in law at a dock in grand lagoon. We came back and anchored where you guys were but y'all had gone off. It was certainly clearer water there but not as much sea life where we were originally anchored. I snorkel for a bit and found a lot of fish eating off the sea grass and sea weed.

When we came back and anchored at the sandbar I was diving and my wife said some jet skis nearly took me out and came by the boat within 5 feet or so! I don't think a dive buoy or flag would have helped as most of those people are renters with zero boating experience. You can always spot them as they don't know the rules of channel navigation. Passed so many rental pontoons not knowing the rules for who has the right of way too.

The rentals there are dangerous!
Had a guy from a rental pontoon hit my boat with a liquor bottle on my last outing before I moved from there!

I think I remember that story too if you posted it on here. I'd be fuming and would probably shoot him with my flare gun haha.

Yeah I posted it on here, I still get fired up when I think about it

Anyone going to be in PCB in Aug 12-16?

Ate at Fatty Patty's this morning. Totally recommend the biscuit and gravy!!!! The portions are large and the prices good. The biscuits are square shaped and have a slight crust to them making it perfect with the smooth and thick gravy with big sausage chunks. Wife and I will stop by there on our way back home since tomorrow is our last day at PCB.

We ate at Uncle Earnie's tonight to cap off our vacation and I tore up that key lime pie! Love that place!

Awe man sorry I didn't realize you were coming right back. Soon after you went by we took off to go eat at Just the Cook! That was delishiouse!

Which one did you get @Rod5 ?

My favorite is the Diver. My aunt likes to get the Double Donut.

Yep I had the Diver burger, wife had the Crab Trap, and a friend of ours had a Slaw Burger. All were fantastic! image.jpeg

It's an addiction! And my favorite one too.

Just getting back in town and checking the Forum. Unfortunately @Bennie, if you're headed to Panama City this weekend, we are forecast for heavy amounts of rain and flooding. City of Destin is passing out sandbags for our homes here. Expecting the worst, and hoping for the best.

Yeah I've seen the forecast....not the best. Thinking I'll bring the boat and either well have fun, it'll sit in my aunts garage the entire weekend, or we'll be moving her out and performing rescues from my 242!

Either way...I'm good. Hope it all ends up ok.

Hey, it's still Florida and Florida weather is ALWAYS unpredictable, haha. Yeah, I'd still bring the boat too if I was you.

So, the wife and I went out this past weekend on someone else's boat. We took a sunset dolphin cruise on the www.seascreamer.net

If any of you are in the area, I HIGHLY recommend taking the sunset cruise. It was nice having someone else drive for a change and the dolphins were VERY active surfing the wake. Worth every penny that we spent on it. He even took it through the marina and showed us Just the Cook restaurant. I have to tell you...that kid was GOOD!! He was able to turn around a 73' boat within the confines of that small space. I was VERY impressed. Got back to the dock a few minutes after dark.

We must've just missed you @blackhawkpilot

We were eating at JTC on Sunday around 17:00. Had another great weekend hanging out in PCB. Was able to put in another way point into my Lowrance - Bama Docks. Very nice protected waters and far enough from the pass to avoid those rough waters.
