Picked up new 242 LS today!

Congratulations! Your family has gotten a very nice boat. It seems to be the boat of choice along with the AR240. The 2015's 240 series boats are down right Sweeeet looking boats. In addition, they have almost all previous Yamaha owners "what to improve on" wish list completed.

Tim.... Are you planning on being on the Suwannee?

@TimBroom
Well we will have to start looking out for you. We will be out pretty much every weekend in the summer. Do you have any particular areas of the Suwannee you hang out at?

Probably this weekend... in Suwannee...

Well, since we now have a boat I would imagine we would hang out in the areas that we use to, when we had a boat 10 years ago... inlaws have a place down there so I am sure we will be down there for a few more weekends than usual... normally we spend more time down at Anna Maria Island for summers... This last weekend I took a short test ride on Lake Santa Fe, high winds and rough, but good practice launching boat etc... I look forward to the nice river on the new boat and the kids having great time... I will look for another Yamaha JB when we are out to say hi....

"Did ya know you purchased a "Collector's" color choice ?"

No idea... :), They mentioned they received it for a boat show in Jan in Jacksonville, FL... maybe that is why... I can let the wife know that it is something "special" :)

Thanks for letting me know... I hope the weather cooperates this weekend for some water testing and practice boat ramp launching before the ramps get crowded.... We always enjoy the boat ramp people watching, where a comment begins "hey check out this one, this is gonna be good"... I just have to be sure I am not "that guy" with "his new boat".... :)

Tim

Hello from "That Guy". This is our first boat and I am sure that it took me every bit of 40 minutes to back this thing in the first time.

I say 40.. actually took me 38 to quite and let a more experienced on-looker take over. ONLY took him two and we were in the water and parking the truck.
THANK GOD I've gotten better. Almost down to only 15 min. lol

Congrats on the new boat -- the color code is gorgeous. Your girls will love it!! My son is about that age and cant get enough of tubing. ENJOY!!

Welcome aboard @TimBroom Beautiful boat and take comfort in the fact you will have over 1800 members with everything from advice to cheers here to help anytime. Once again, congrats and welcome!
