Poorly run message boards

Brian has sunk his ship I think. He totally was in left field.

YJB is still down. I last could and did last logon on Saturday March 1st at 9p PST. I'm not up on all the background events and never experienced any issues with Brian. His Shipping costs seemed high but I didn't mind if it helped him and or the site out.

I hope that site doesn't close for good. Though I wasn't a member from the start of that site I was a member for around five years and felt I benefitted from it but also feel that Brian should have given yjb members some notice and at least daily or nightly status updates with an eta on uptime.

I'm not going bash Brian or yjb, to those that do I urge you to consider this, when Brian started yjb he probably had the same or many of the same desires for it as the founding members do for this site.

Just an interesting aside, Brian didn't start YJB, he acquired it from its founder in order to run it better and more efficiently and did a fantastic job updating and streamlining it back when I was more active over there... 2005-2008-ish..... I agree it does sound kinda familiar...

Voicing ones opinion on first hand Poor experiences is not bashing. Sorry but this is the internet and when you blow it you will get called out for it. The fame and notoriety of running something large also has a sharp side to it. Know that going in.

Well, happy to say that I knew nothing about what was going on behind the scenes. 30 minutes ago I was happy to see that YJB was back online. Now I am here trying to put the pieces together. That said, I appreciate being allowed to be part of this group. So far, a very well laid out, and easy to use format. I applaud and appreciate that you guys decided to take a good thing and make it better. Good luck to you, I suspect good things are to follow.

@Addicted, everyone is welcome here . Thank you for joining us .

Welcome on board Addicted! Great to have you here!

Welcome addicted!!! Glad to see you here.

Addicted, welcome aboard my man! Sometimes you go backwards to go forwards. As it is here. We will grow here because this is a member run forum...of the member, by the member, for the member...or some such order! Anyway, glad you have found us. We won't be banning anyone without due process, and certainly without knowledge. We also already have a member map and a logo you can use today! But were working on a member approved logo that will be out this spring. And...this forum isn't singularly run and membership manipulated. Again, glad your here and look forward to your input and seeing your help to all members! Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I have nothing against YJB, and will continue to spend time there as well, if allowed, but this site is definitely a refreshing change.

"if allowed" - no one here will stop you. Can't speak for the other place, but that phrase is one of the reasons this site exists at all...
