Hey all.

hope your all doing good with the time off due to the virus.

Just finishing a panther to berkeley swap/upgrade. Entertaining the idea of loosing the Hardin Marine aluminum snail logs for a set of over the transom headers. My question tho...

Most headers that I can afford have water option to cool the headers, but not to preheat. Are there other options to preheat the water? Boating in the Lake Mead Nevada area, is preheating truly necessary? Anyone NOT preheating, running it straight into the cooling system.

Our boat is just a 20 foot, open bow, BBC recreational hot rod, not a performance racer.

I have spent some time trying to research this, and most threads dive into details about the optimum setups. but not how to preheat using basic BBC headers.

thanx
