Ok, I've got a zerk fitting that needs to be replaced. When I add grease to the bearing buddy the grease just shoots back out from the zerk.

I took a paper clip and pushed it into the opening to see if the ball was stuck and nothing there.

So, I went to remove the zerk with the socket wrench and the whole plate with the zerk fitting on it just spins..How do I get it from spinning so i can replace it? (I feel like an idiot just asking LOL)

Do I have to remove the whole bearing buddy?

Trailer is a 2014 shorelander

Not sure how to delete this thread but, yes...you do have to remove the Bearing Buddy to get the Zerk removed. There is a locknut on the inside.

Took 5min to remove and replace and add more grease..

Aw. I saw Cam's reply and was going to put it here. Make me look smart... <grin>

I do need to replace the fitting on the trailer suspension...it is totally seized and won't accept anymore grease.

anyone have done that part? :)
