Reverse module error

What's the fault code related to your eReverse Module Error? Anything being displayed in Gauge under the fault menu page?
Earlier Scarab had an inline fuse located behind the panel instead of the breaker used by Chaparral.

It gave me a code u0410. Ended up being a failed relay.

Yep just got off the water and the boats running like new. Going on a ride from kemah, tx to lake Charles, la April 27. The dealership did a great job of getting my boat back on the water.

Awesome! Enjoy your ride!!!

Did the dealer give you a couple relays in case they go out again? If not, did they give you a part number to the relay?

@ScarabMike mentioned in a thread about relays but I believe they pertain to the engine not starting. Could you share the part number with us just in case?

You should as your boat's not old. Something caused the relay to trip. Chances are they just replaced the relay and not the actual problem.

I picked the boat up late last night so I didn't have a chance to actually talk to the service rep. But I'll get the part number and share it.

Did you ever get the part number?

Sorry for the delay. But all they said was it was a reverse module relay failure. I found the relay. It was just a regular relay. I'll get a picture of the relay with the part number.

Sure, Thanks!

I have a 2016 Scarab 215 with the same Reverse Module Error issue. The code is C2146,just wondering if the relay was the real resolve for this? And what/where is this relay?

That's an easy & non expensive try, those relays are in the small fuse box located in the engine compartment. But I think C2146 is a fault related to the throttle controller output signal

Can you check that fault code again? I'm not seeing a C2146 that pertains to a boat.

The digital readout on the dash cluster was where the code came up.I purchased a Candoo pro diagnostic tool and rest the TPS.So far it has been fine, but the reason for the reset is still bothering me.Usually there is a reason for the this to be out and could not find anything obvious.Checked throttle connectors and saftey switches along with checking the cable and gates. Not sure what caused this condition, but if there is something wrong,it will probably happen again.Only 70 hours on this boat since I purchased it new and has been problematic since it's first season(2016)

@Jotile That sucks. Sorry to hear that. Have you had the dealer look at the problems you've had while under warranty? I'm not sure what causes a relay to go bad (probably a short of some kind). Maybe corrosion from the connectors. It's good to pull them out, check them and put them back in. Could also try putting dielectric grease on them as well. Helps fight corrosion. Wish I was more help. Sorry.

Boat has been back to the dealer twice for different issues. This reverse module thing is new and they where booked for two weeks ahead when I called on this problem.Dealer is not my go-to anymore, they are difficult to work with and a very tough ride to get to from where I live.I have checked all the relays,no moisture issues on any of the connectors.I was an ASE certified mechanic and just know that there must have been something to trigger this, and hope it will be a simple thing when it finally happens.

Mine is at the dealer right now to fix a few things while under warranty. They replaced the iNR (reverse module) stating they have replaced about 30 so far. I guess the older ones are known to be problematic. Where are you located?

I am in Connecticut, and the dealer is in NY.It is about a 30 mile drive, the short way, over multiple steep hills and winding roads.Or about 50 miles on the highway. If it is the module,I will take it back, but only if it is under warranty.Chances are at this point, they probably will not cover it.
