So I turn my key on and get e electronic reverse module error. I put the shifter in override mode, shift forward and backwards and the module doesn't move. I disconnected the cable and the bucket moves. The battery has a full charge. Any ideas?

Mine ended up being the battery. Replaced them, cleared the codes and the problem went away. Boat has been sitting in my driveway the past week (not hooked up to a battery charger) and I have the same e-reverse error. I'm finding these boats are very sensitive to battery charge level. Do you keep your on a charger?

Yeah I bought a onboard charger. It stays plugged in when I park it.

How old is the battery? Is it original? Is this the first time you get this message? Can you clear the codes yourself?

Also, did you check to see if the breaker is tripped?

The battery is about 2 years old. It's the original battery. It did it once last year at the end of the season. Was told it was because of a low battery. When the battery charged up it was fine. Since then I've installed a onboard charger that keeps the battery charged. Where would the breaker be?

It's right next to the battery switch. It's a 2" x 2" square black box with a red button sticking out. Feel just underneath it and if it is tripped a lever will be present. Push this up. See picture below. Blue arrow points to the breaker and the red button. Orange arrow is where you want to feel and push up to reset. Pushing the red button will trip the breaker which you can reset by pushing the lever up.

You have a chaparral. Scarabs dont have that breaker. Be alot better if they did though.

Boat has been on the charger for the past couple days, e-reverse message has disappeared and the iNR system works fine. This worries me.

Did you figure your issue out?

I'm going to drop mine off at the dealer. Was told it's the reverse module. Gonna replace it under warranty.

Let me know how you make out. It could help others here too, okay?

I also found this on a different forum that might be worth a look:
"Quick update on the ereverse not working. The dealer found a faulty connection behind the gear shift/speed control next to the driver. They had to remove the panel and replace the connector and then add a strain relief. That was last week and I am happy to say it seems to have resolved the problem."

I know this sounds simple and not meant to insult your intelligence. Did you make sure the lanyard was on the kill switch? If kill switch is not making contact you will get a reverse module error. Been there.

Yeah its connected. I even disconnected and reconnected thinking maybe the switch was bad. When I reconnect it it sounds like I can hear the fuel pump priming.

Any recent wiring changes? Have you reset (pushed in) all the breakers? Checked continuity on all the fuses in the fuse block (battery disconnected)?

Nevermind. I read you took to dealer for repair. These things are frustrating.

Just heard back from dealer. It was 2 failing relays. Gonna pick it up tonight.

Thanks for the update:thumbsup:

Do you know witch relays ?
