Saltwater Corrosion Questions

The engine and engine compartment is pristine. Looking forward to know about the other anodes and whether they are there. Lower portion of the plug?

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the clean out plug. If it is difficult to remove or reseat at all it can be rebuilt with a kit.

I think the boat will be fine, the only concern I would have is any growth or corrosion in the cooling jackets. Time will tell with that. Running the boat in fresh water will certainly prolong its life.

Speed loss from bottom paint is a myth..... The speed loss is negligible on a hull of this size, maybe 1 mph of loss. A boat losses more speed from weight, wind and current. The speed loss from bottom painted boats is generally from the growth that exists on the paint not from the paint.

Enjoy the boat and welcome aboard.

Looks like there is another one in addition to the one at the pump:

This is from my service manual, I do not see any other anodes.
Let me know if you want a copy - shoot me a PM with your email.
